Jeffrey Lee Pierce - San Francisco - I-Beam 09.16.85
flyer
Scored this poster in a small lot that had an early Skinny Puppy one I really wanted. Was a fan of The Gun Club before I had even heard of the Pups.

Skinny Puppy - Denver - Ogden Theatre 05.30.2007
stub and ad from a tour put together so quickly that we fans had to street-team the flyers ourselves
Skinny Puppy - Minneapolis - Mill City Nights - 02.22.2014
mini events handbill
Picked up at the venue. The first show I could remember NO physical tickets being issued for; everyone had only online printouts. Could have died getting to this show as a massive icestorm hit the area the night before...the streets were like an ice rink.

ohGr - Minneapolis - First Avenue 06.04.2001
handbill and unused comp ticket
I can see at least three things wrong with that handbill. Also have the flyer and giant calendar poster.

To paraphrase Hunter S. Thompson: Not that we needed all that, but once you get into a serious collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

The Damned - Minneapolis - The Quest 10.10.2001
Not a good experience as the audio was terrible with blown-out sound and vocals almost completely lost the mix. Was right in front of the stage, but still couldn't hear more than their actual unamplified voices. Close enough to almost get hit when one of the monitors was kicked off the stage into the barricade in frustration.

Misfits / The Damned / The Dickies / Agnostic Front / Balzac - Minneapolis - The Quest 08.05.2003
A weird one - have no memories of Agnostic Front, but remember Balzac being a better Misfits than the original Misfits. Dickies were wonderful as usual. Actually left the show after The Damned set (a much happier visit for them). Saw the bus parked at the entrance so said hello. Told them we were surprised that they came back to the club after what happened last show: "we played here before?". Patricia had some unflattering things to say about Andrew Eldritch, but signed my vinyl copy of Floodland anyway. Dave actually asked why we didn't stay for the Misfits: "with one original member and a rapping Marky Ramone?...we came to see YOU" everyone smiled.

Club MTV Live Tour - Houston - The Summit 07.24.91
with C+C Music Factory, Bell Biv DeVoe, Gerardo, Color Me Badd, Tara Kemp
Just tell me your fists didn't clench up immediately on seeing that wretched, lip-synching line-up. Same week Motorhead and Judas Priest played that venue, folks.
laminate, plus cloth staff pass (used), back-stage pass, press pass and meet & greet pass (all unused)

Jesus & Mary Chain - Lollapalooza, Texas
Jesus & Mary Chain - Lollapalooza, Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, 09.05.92 ?
Very used cloth pass - might also have come from the The Vatican 11.13 gig, as the same promoter handled both shows.

Used cloth pass from a great tour - it's a pity Trent broke up the band soon after and never recorded again.
